How does the solar lease compare to a cash purchase?

In LADWP’s utility area:

• For a 4kW system, pricing is like this:
• $0 down, $60/month, 0% escalator, 20 year lease term
• This should show between 10-20% savings from day one on old bill size
• 1BOGGERS get a three month rebate after the 3 month anniversary (SolarCity will send customer a check equal to the 3 month lease payments on the fourth month. This is equal to having the first three months free. Capped at $1000 payment.)

In SCE’s utility area:

Here the lease is a little different and a 15 year term. It is still $0 down and 1boggers get 3 months free.

The 13 Local Municipal Utilities:
